PA.1.1 - DNA - camp only uses vendor-provided personnel for aquatic activities. However, we still orient our staff to their responsibilities as lookouts in aquatic environments. They are still responsible for behavior management, enforcing rules, supervision, and assisting the aquatics personnel in tasks for which they are qualified to assist.

However, camp staff may move a camper who has passed the facility's swim assessment from the deeper areas if it becomes apparent that they are becoming tired or if they feel the camper may no longer be safe to swim in that area for any reason.

However, the pool regularly used by campers is enclosed by a fence meeting the County of San Diego standards with water depths clearly marked. Routine maintenance is conducted, pool rules are posted visibly, and rescue equipment is in good repair.
